My actual everyday makeup is… well, it’s no makeup, but as that post would be mighty boring and short, this is my everyday-makeup-when-I-actually-wear-makeup-makeup 🙂
I’m pretty sure that the order in which I apply isn’t the ”correct’ way but it works fine for me.
I start with the benefit primer on my T-Zone, then draw in my eyebrows with the Rimmel pencil. I put the Stay Don’t Stray primer underneath my eyes and follow it up with a damp sponge (or the concealer brush) and concealer and put that underneath my eyes. I curl my lashes and apply some mascara. I use the Urban Decay spray and then buff my Tarte powder all over my face with the accompanying brush. I contour (word used loosely there, as my ability is sub-par) with Sleek and the Real Techniques expert face brush, I put some on the highligher on the high point of my face with the setting brush, and then use the expert face brush again to apply my Sleek blusher. I apply a bit more mascara and then put on the MAC eye shadow with the Chilli Pepper brush and that is me done. The time is takes can vary greatly, sometimes it’s a quick 5 minutes, other times it can be half an hour.
Obviously they are all my favourites, as I choose to use them on everyday-makeup-when-I-actually-wear-makeup, but some of the standouts for me include;
- Tarte Powder Foundation – the most expensive powder I have ever bought, and considering I had to only purchase it offline through guesswork as to what colour I would be, it was a risky buy for me, but completely worth it, I love it. It is long lasting, mattifies, evens out any pigmentation issues/redness, brightens my skin, and gives me the option of coverage (if you want extra coverage you just buff more in. Simple).
- Real Techniques sponge – works brilliantly, the finish result for concealer is greatly improved.
- Collection Concealer – I don’t really feel the need to say anything about this, it is well known to be a brilliant concealer at an even better price.
