Monthly Memories – September

Monthly Memories – September

My Mum came home from Town one afternoon having bought Oscar this hoodie – as you can clearly see, he loved it. Actually he outright refused to move, I tried to tempt him in multiple different ways but he just gave me the evil eye, which you can see very clearly in that first picture. It’s a shame too, because he looks friggin’ adorable in it. I guess he’ll just be wearing it out on walks when it chilly, and not for looking stylish around the house. 😜PhotoGrid_1504747833155

As you might have seen in a previous monthly memories, my Sister sells candles. I’ve helped her with a stall before and was recruited into another one this month. I say ‘recruited’ loosely, as this is what really happened:

Rebecca: “Don’t forget about our stall”, “Are you looking forward to our stall”, “What time are you setting off for our stall”, “Our stall starts at 11″.

This went on for the whole month of August; and despite each time she said this to me I replied, it’s not our stall, it’s yours, and I’m not that interested in going again just yet, but she just wouldn’t stop. This resulted in me actually thinking, “well, I have to go, it is my stall”. She’s a mastermind manipulatorPhotoGrid_1504747924687

It was good though, got intensely busy at some points. I also had a delicious Quorn chili on a jacket potato and got some ‘lucky heather’, which I was informed, isn’t only lucky, but will also make me extra fertile.. who knew a cutting of shrub would fix my fertility issues… 😒 It’s pretty though.

Emily walking Oscar, occasionally it’s the other way round, but mostly it’s Emily in control – she’s a  obstinate little bugga, she takes after me.

On the 8th I got my first ever Dermaplaning treatment, you can see the post I did about that here. As of now, my opinion is still the same as in that post. If I have a drastically different opinion after getting it done in October I’ll update you.

From the 11th to the 15th I was on holiday, or stay-cation depending on how you view going on holiday an hour away from your home. From the holiday I did two posts; a morning and evening routine, they’ll be up in October. Here are some of the photos from the whole holiday though. If anyone is interested in Ribby Hall I did a post about everything they have to offer here, it’s one of my first few posts I ever did as well.

The first half day there we did a weekly shop and then went for a walk to the park. We were outside of the house for around 3 minutes before Emily fell over in a spectacular manner – she was running towards some ducks when her feet slipped out from under her (muddy grass will do that) and landed on her back, she lay there, starfish style for a few beats and you could just see the confusion, “why am I looking at the sky – what? how? I don’t understand what happened.”

On our first full day we went into Blackpool and visited Madame Tussauds. The kids weren’t too interested by this section of the day – to be honest they were suspicious of the wax models – which I completely get, because I spent the majority of time waiting for one of them to suddenly move.

After some dinner, Quorn chili on chips for me – yum – we wandered up the promenade and came across a palm reader, me and Becky have been wanting to get something like this done for ages, so we decided to give it a go. It wasn’t all that impressive, not that she didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear (two kids, husband, two homes, happy etc) but she wasn’t very impressive with being mystical, she just listed off what most people usually want. Next we went to Primark and then around some of the shops – I’ll have a collective haul up next month too.PhotoGrid_1505779984261PhotoGrid_1505780090371

Looking out from the pier was nice, the weather was so moody, which made for some nice ominous photos.

Before heading home we got some ice cream – the joy of these kids faces, you’d think they’d never had one before.

The rest of the evening and the following morning will be described in my evening and morning routines, so I won’t bored you with that twice 😉PhotoGrid_1505782523720

After getting ready we went out for dinner at a nearby pub restaurant. By the time we had finished our meal, a combination of us all being under the weather and overtired we returned to the cottage and had a nap for a couple of hours, which might seem a waste, but we all love naps. Later that evening we went to a kids disco which we’ve been to before. After settling in, the kids do enjoy themselves, dancing and getting balloon animals, although from the below picture you wouldn’t think it from Emily’s face.PhotoGrid_1505782652721

Walking back from the disco we headed up to where the spa hotel is, and got ambushed by ducks, which I won’t lie, I loved. PhotoGrid_1505782818055PhotoGrid_1505782919790

On our last full day we went over to Fleetwood Market and had a wander, Max got some new shoes, which light up – so he was excited and spent the rest of the day slamming him feet down with every step. For tea that evening we had an indoor picnic.

Before heading home we stopped by St Annes, it was eerily quiet compared to the last time we was there.

Despite always having a good time with my Sister and her kids, nothing is better than returning home to this face!

I was driving back home from the hairdressers near the end of the month, and seeing a field of cows, I did want any normal adult would do – immediately pulled over and went over to say hi. I FaceTime(d) my niece and nephew – so, really I did it for them… that’s believable, right?PhotoGrid_1506110864406The day before I was on the side of a main road saying hello to two horses as well. They were beautiful but I spent around 20 minutes pulling tangled sticky burrs out of their manes, whilst they stood there, head lowered so I could reach, with their eyes closed. As I don’t really know about horse care I’m not sure if that can happen daily to horses manes and their owner gets them off in an evening – or whether the horses were being neglected. So any horse lovers out there – let me know.

The remained of the month was pretty quiet, other than my Mum’s birthday on the 29th, which is the day that this post goes live, so I’ll probably include that in next months memories. Here are a few random photos from this month that just make me happy though.received_124028318278521320170923_0531522017-09-23-05-40-02-300
