I hate to be so cliche but “What the friggin’ hell? Where did January go?”. Well, wherever it disappeared to it’s left a trail of memories behind – see what I did there, perfectly sliding you into my monthly memories.
The 6th of January was my 26th Birthday, I celebrated it with my family. I remember thinking that by the age of 26 I’d be long married and have multiple children – I still wish that was the case, but 26 isn’t as scary old as I once thought it was. That’s not to say I wouldn’t subtract a few years if I could, but I’m still a spring(ish) chicken.
Mia likes to sit with her front paws crossed, she’s a proper lady.
I can’t describe how heartwarming these photo’s are to me, the fact that they have started to sleep much closer makes me very happy. My babies are (very slowly) becoming cuddle buddies.
On the 14th we went for a wintry walk to the Lake. I love how the lake looks no matter the season, but I am looking forward to seeing it in spring/summer. Slightly warmer weather and less rain wouldn’t hurt either.
After going self hosted back in November of last year, I finally got round to posted about my experience, if you are considering it and wanting some help then go over to that post.
On the last weekend of January I went with my Sister and the kids to see a film and do a bit of shopping. The film was …- well it was a kids film. I think I mostly snoozed through it, when I wasn’t eating nacho’s or popcorn at least. I picked up a few things from Primark, the main thing being a quilt cover I’m really excited to see on my bed. Hopefully it’ll look as good as I think. When we got home we played ‘Frustration’, a game I loved as a kid. Unfortunately my love of it didn’t help me win, nope, I came last. Max won fair and square though so that somewhat dulled the pain of losing. 😉
The only other noteworthy thing of January is I finally had an ankle injection, which had been long overdue. They don’t have a guarantee for working but I think it has been somewhat helpful. Unfortunately I’m really struggling with a broken splint at the moment which is causing me a lot of pain. I have more appointments for new splints next month though, so fingers crossed.
