I finally got round to trying out my Sleek ‘Oh So Special’ eyeshadow palette for this ‘Oh So Special’ Valentines Day Makeup Look. It’s pretty simple – it has to be seen as it’s me doing it. I’m pretty happy with how it came out, I haven’t used colours too much before, and whilst it’s not as bright and brilliant as a lot of eye looks can be, for my skill level I’m plenty happy.
BASE & TOOLS
- Bourjois Radiance Reveal
- Real Techniques Sponge
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation
- Tarte Airbuki Powder Brush
BROWS & TOOLS
- Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil. After using the built in brush I also go in with a separate spoolie to distribute the colour.
EYES & TOOLS
- No7 eyelash curlers
- Urban Decay Perversion (upper and lower lashes)
Tip: I usually also end up with some on my eyelid and I’ve found the best and easiest way to get that off is to dip an earbud into my contact lenses solution (I’d already be wearing my disposable contacts but I’ll keep the containers and liquid around until after I’ve applied my mascara).
- Sleek i-Divine in Oh So Special.
As a base across the whole eyelid I used the shade Pamper. Across the outer part of the lid and into the crease I used Ribbon, followed by Wrapped Up. Across my lower lash line I used Celebrate and along my brow bone and inner corner of my eye I used a small amount of Bow.
- Real Technique Brushes; Base Shadow Brush, Smudge Brush and The Body Shop Eyeshadow Blending Brush
CONTOUR, BLUSH & TOOLS
- Sleek Contour Palette in Light
- Sleek Blush in Rose Gold
- Real Techniques Brushes; Expert Face Brush and Blush Brush
Tip: Every face shape will require a different method of contouring and highlighting, again in my Christmas Day Makeup Look I showed where I place mine according to my face shape.
LIPS
- The Body Shop Lipstick in New Orleans Scarlet (a very light application)
That concludes my ‘Oh So Special’ Valentines Day Makeup Look. Let me know what you think, to say we’re strangers across the web and in a lot of cases the world, your opinion means a lot to me.
I hope you have a lovely Valentines Day whether in a relationship or single like myself. And if you find yourself getting worked up about being alone on Valentines Day, which I often do myself, just remember – it’s simply another day of the year. A days value isn’t in it’s holiday name (e.g Valentines Day, Christmas, New Years Eve), it’s in the memories you make. My greatest days haven’t been on dedicated holidays but just any old random day in any old random month of the year.
