If you haven’t heard, Makeup Revolution has become immensely popular of late.
They are shockingly cheap, are creating multiple imitations of luxury makeup products and, a major plus for me, are cruelty free. These are the first products I have bought from the brand, so if there are any amazing products of theirs that you think I should have gotten as well, please let me know.
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define, Shade C4
Finally, finally I got my hands on this concealer, which if you are reading this via a WordPress account I am sure you have seen pop up on your feed so much that it’s actually beginning to annoy you. Well, it was annoying me too, but now I’ve switched sides because I got my grubby paws on one.
Granted, I’m pretty sure it’s the incorrect shade for me. I went for the C4 shade as that was the only pale shade they currently had in stock and for £4 I was willing to be wrong if it meant I at least got to try out the concealer.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar & Spice
This palette looked very beautiful online, and again, only cost £4 for 8 shades. They advertised it as perfect for highlighting and contouring too. Just from some quick swatches I am impressed with the colours and pigmentation. I’m excited to put them all to a proper test. Click into the individual pictures to see the full sized image.
Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3
I’ve read a lot about the eye palettes from Makeup Revolution so I bought this cheap, at £4 for 12 shades, Redemption Iconic 3 palette. I really love the colours and they swatched beautifully. But having quickly tried a few on the eye I was surprised by the amount of fall out. There was glitter everywhere! I’m not sure if it was the way I applied it, or whether this is a common issue others find. Any suggestions?
I am almost trepidatious to try these again as they are so raved about online that I’m not sure why in my first, admittedly quick, trial I was so unimpressed. But I will try them again, maybe using some kind of eye primer and hopefully they’ll do better. Especially because of the price and the colours I really would like to be impressed with this palette.
Makeup Revolution Revoholic Love Conquers All Palette
This final product was a freebie when spending a certain amount on Makeup Revolution. I believe it was only available as a freebie during the Valentines period. This palette is advertised as eyeshadows and highlighters but you could possibly get away with using a couple of the shades as a blush.
So, that’s everything I purchased. Please let me know if I am using the eye palette incorrectly and what your experience with it has been.
I’ll also have a post up soon about some of the other products I bought from Superdrug during this haul. Specifically from their own skincare range.
