… I’m aware it’s supposed to be coffee, but I’m a avid tea drinker.
If we were having a cup of tea…
… I would tell you how happy I am to be back into the swing of things with blogging. I really did enjoy my mini holiday but I’m glad to have my blogging mode reactivated. A mini break is highly recommend by me to any fellow bloggers feeling a bit uninspired, it renews your enjoyment and passion completely.
… I would gush about how happy I am to have a working laptop back within my hands. I’m still figuring it out, but to be able to blog again is really boosting my mood.
… I would say how much I am actually enjoying posting everyday to Instagram. This was a blogging goal that I set for the month and I was a bit nervous about achieving it. Despite having mostly pre-scheduled all my content, it’s still a lot of work and requires a lot of attention and time, but I am enjoying it and I would definitely do it again.
Here’s a peek at what I have been posting if you don’t follow me on Instagram and having been unaware of what I’ve been up to.
… I would want to talk to you about something that I am very excited about but also morally unsure on. As most of you will know I am a Vegetarian, have been for the past 18 years. I’m in the process of going cruelty free, I highly support anything to do with Animal Rights, I’m against hunting for sport.. etc etc. but in July I am going on a VIP Zoo Experience. I was given this as a gift and now I’m finally closing in on the day, and I am excited. I get to go behind the scenes of a zoo and interact with the animals, which is my dream. If I could befriend all the wild animals.. kinda like a female George Of The Jungle, my life would be made. But the concept of zoo’s distress me somewhat.
I don’t agree with animals being behind bars, I don’t agree with them not being out in the wild but I also know that for many animals this is one of the places they are required to be if they are going to be kept safe and continue to prosper.
So in that sense, I understand and even support zoos because without them so many creatures would be wiped out by our human hands. Obviously there are wildlife sanctuaries, and if there was enough money going into these, usually charitable, organisations then the need for zoos would lessen and animals could be protected whilst in their natural habit. But that’s not the world we live in right now.
This makes zoos a necessary evil in a sense. Because is it fair that these animals have to live their lives like this? No. But is it also what keeps many of them safe from extinction? Yes.
So, as you can see, I am ambivalent about zoos. But I am also really excited to go and see all these beautiful animals. What are your opinions on zoos? I know this is a controversial topic so if you do want to discuss it please don’t be rude.
